Common conditions treated with physical therapy
Pain from repetitive motion can prevent you from working and doing every day activities. Our therapists will work with you to ensure you are able to get back to your work and activities, pain free! Carpal tunnel syndrome is when the median nerve is compressed as it passes through the carpel tunnel. The carpal tunnel is an opening in your wrist that is formed by the carpal bones on the bottom of the wrist and the transverse carpal ligament across the top of the wrist.
Chronic pain can be debilitating and greatly decrease your quality of life. We want to reverse that by designing a treatment plan that restores health to your body, reducing the need for medication. Pain can be acute, meaning new, subacute, lasting for a few weeks or months, or chronic, when it lasts for more than three months.
Whether you've had orthopedic surgery or are looking for a non-surgical treatment option, our therapists will develop a program specifically for your individual needs. Orthopedic physical therapy is concerned with injuries, and conditions of musculoskeletal system relating to the body's muscles and skeleton, and including the joints, ligaments, tendons, and nerves.
Your treatment plan will be created with your sport-specific goals in mind. We want you to be in the best shape possible to return to your favorite activity and/or career. Most sports injuries are due to minor trauma involving soft-tissue injuries - injuries that affect the muscles, ligaments, and/or tendons.
